Professional Dog Grooming Diploma Level 3.

I offer a Professional Dog Grooming Diploma Level 3 with practical training and experience. No formal previous experience is required although handling dogs is an advantage. 

This program is offered on a one to one basis and is an intensive course in the mobile dog grooming salon. The duration of the course is 30 days, practical training, online assessments and salon assessments . These can be scheduled to your needs by mutual agreement.

Dog grooming encompasses everything involved in caring for a dog’s hygiene, cleaning and physical appearance. The necessary frequency of dog grooming is dependent on the breed, age and health of the dog, but grooming is sure to help keep a dog healthy and comfortable. 

Within in the course the student will learn everything they need to become a successful dog groomer such as: safety, business basics, equipment, anatomy and health, handling, shampoos, bathing, drying. Everything about eyes, ears, teeth, claws and anal glands. Learn all about different coats, fur types and breeds. The student will learn clipping, stripping, scissoring, plucking and de-shedding techniques. 

 I am also trained in EMI Pet Teeth Cleaning Systems and as a bonus add this training to the Level 3 course at no extra charge.

The theory is online and the learner can work through this within their own time and at their own pace. The practical is over 20 days in the mobile dog grooming salon and learner can choose when these will be either 1,2 or 3 days per week. It is an intensive course.

Course Pass Criteria:

Groom 20 dogs successfully to a high standard. Covering a minimum of 6 different breeds and 3 different types. 

Competently showing skills in hand stripping, deshedding, clippering, scissoring and blending, 

Confidently cut and file nails and clean and pluck ears.

Trained to use EmiPet teeth cleaning systems and accomplish teeth cleaning on 2 dogs.

On completion of this course you are qualified as a dog groomer and will be awarded a Professional Dog Grooming Diploma Level 3. The learner will also receive a participation award showing hours of experience obtained in a professional dog grooming salon.
